Google public DNS server not accessible

Resolved

The public google DNS server (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) was not accessible on campus this afternoon from 3:05pm to 3:43pm. The Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) accidentally blocked access to the DNS server. The issue has been rectified and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
