Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.
Scheduled
Dates : July 05th and 06th.
Start time: July 05th 07:00 AM.
End time: July 06th 07:00 PM.
During this maintenance, the whole IT network of Simcoe Hall including wired, wireless and AV network will be down for two days with no access to any network including remote access.
- Convocation hall departmental and wireless network will be affected for few minutes on July 05th between 08:00 and 09:00 AM.
- F&S network at Simcoe Hall, Convocation Hall, Knox College & Prichard Alumni House will be affected for few minutes on July 05th.
Details of activities planned:
Simcoe Hall router software upgrade.
All IT network switches for departmental network and wireless network at four LAN rooms of Simcoe Hall will be replaced with new Aruba 6200 CX series switches.
All UPS at four network closets will be replaced with new APC UPS.
Removing old multimode fiber panels from IT racks.
Affected networks:
Simcoe hall departmental network.
Convocation hall departmental network (Downtime will be only for few minutes between 08:00 and 09:00 AM on July 05th).
U of T Wireless network at Simcoe Hall.
U of T Wireless network at Convocation Hall. (Downtime will be only for few minutes between 08:00 and 09:00 AM on July 05th).
AV network at Simcoe Hall.
F&S network at Simcoe Hall, Convocation Hall, Knox College & Prichard Alumni House (Downtime will be only for few minutes on July 05th).
Note: We are trying to complete this planned maintenance on Saturday itself, if completed, there will not be any maintenance activity on Sunday July 06th.
